Mosin ATI Stock Issue - HEX receiver. So I bought the Monte Carlo ATI stock for my hexagonal receiver Mosin Nagant and I'm having a couple of problems. The pamphlet that came with the stock said to dremmel in certain areas, and I feel like I've done quite a bit and still no fit. Also, I finally took it out to the range yesterday and the stock was so tight that I couldn't load the magazine and had to shoot one round at a time. I guess when I ordered it, I didn't consider that the stock was most likely designed for a round receiver Anyone else have and fix this issue?

I am going to pillar and bed it ultimately once the mounts come in, but I too have it floating a bit high and left despite my dremeling efforts so far.

I also seem to have to wedge my mag in a bit, which leads me to believe the entire thing is warped somewhat. I'll relieve some area in there as well, but it all seems a bit shallow underneath. I know the criticisms by some of these ATI stocks, but I am determined to make my hex a hunting rifle as it groups circa I'll work on it a bit more this week when work allows. On a side note, I've been through two tubes of my wife's old lipstick marking touch points and I think if I ask her for a third I'll have some explaining to do.

A "Hex" mosin does not belong in a ATI stock, it belongs in wood. Find a donor round one.

Issues like these with the ATI stocks seem to be rather typical.

My buddy got one for his '42 Izzy and he had no luck with the fit, he returned the stock only to receive another that had the same problem and in both cases the front end appeared to have been warped downward so it wasn't even hugging the barrel.
